The organisation is aware of its obligation to prevent slavery and human trafficking as a member of the hospitality and security sectors.

Additionally, our company is committed to eliminating slavery and human trafficking in its operations and ensuring that its supply chains are free of slavery and human trafficking.

Organisational Structure and Supply Chains

This statement covers the activities of UK Nationwide Ltd:

• UK Nationwide Ltd is an independent hospitality and security company specialising in facility management. The organisation was established in 2011 and now has over ten years of experience in the hospitality and security sector. In order to meet the demands and expectations of each client, UK Nationwide Ltd develops partnerships with its clients, understands their needs and strategies, and provides bespoke services to meet client expectations.

• UK Nationwide Ltd provides specialist hospitality and security guarding services.

• The workforce of the company is employed on a permanent contractual basis. The Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006, BS 7585:2012 standards, and SIA requirements are followed when conducting right to work, residency, Security Industry Authority, and employment history verification checks. All employees receive their National Minimum Wage and benefits payments on a monthly basis.

The organisation currently operates in the following country:

Through a supplier and procurement code of conduct, it is the responsibility of the company to ensure that all suppliers adhere to the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Responsibility

The following individuals are responsible for the organisation's anti-slavery initiatives:

• Policies: Operations Manager and Managing Director.

• Investigations and Due Diligence: The Operations Manager is responsible for conducting inquiries and investigating due diligence in connection with known or suspected instances of human trafficking and slavery. Site visits are conducted to ensure there are no unsafe or unhygienic working environments for staff members.

• Training: The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that everyone in the organisation and throughout the supply chain is aware of the risks of slavery and human trafficking.

Relevant Policies

The following policies outline how the organisation identifies modern slavery risks and takes action to prevent slavery and human trafficking within its operations:

• Employee Code of Conduct: This code outlines the actions and behaviours required of employees when representing the organisation. The organisation strives to maintain the highest standards of employee conduct and ethical behaviour when operating at client sites and managing its supply chain.

• Supplier Code of Conduct: The organisation is committed to ensuring that its suppliers uphold the highest ethical standards. Suppliers must demonstrate that they employ labour ethically and legally, treat workers with respect and dignity, and ensure safe working conditions where appropriate. All potential and existing suppliers are required to complete a supplier questionnaire as part of the supply chain selection process. Suppliers must also demonstrate compliance with the Immigration and Asylum Act 2006, labour standards, and general principles. The supplier code of conduct is reviewed during supplier audits.

• Recruitment Policy: The organisation recruits employees on a contractual basis only. All employees are subject to right to work, residency, Security Industry Authority, and employment history checks prior to employment, in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006, SIA requirements, and BS 7585:2012 standards. The recruitment process complies with UK law and includes payment of the National Minimum Wage, mitigating the risk of slavery or human trafficking.

• Anti-Bribery Policy: The organisation’s anti-bribery policy aims to prevent bribery by any stakeholder associated with the organisation. The policy is communicated to all employees and covered during the induction programme.

Due Diligence

In its pursuit of excellence, the organisation undertakes due diligence when considering new suppliers and regularly reviews existing supplier relationships.

The due diligence process includes:

• Assessing modern slavery and human trafficking risks for each prospective supplier in line with the supply chain selection procedure.

• Conducting supplier audits overseen by the UK Nationwide Ltd Compliance Director, with increased focus on slavery and human trafficking where risks are identified.

• Implementing corrective actions where necessary, including guidance and action plans for underperforming suppliers. Audits to date have confirmed supplier compliance with the UK Nationwide Ltd Supplier Code of Conduct.

• Applying sanctions, including termination of contracts, if suppliers fail to improve or seriously breach the supplier code of conduct. To date, no sanctions have been required.

• Upholding employees’ rights to freely form or join trade unions where applicable.

Performance Indicators

In response to the Modern Slavery Act 2015, the organisation commits to reviewing its supply chains by the end of each financial year to ensure continued compliance with the Act.

Training

All employees, including management, are required to complete modern slavery awareness training as part of induction, management development, and refresher programmes.

The training includes:

• Reviewing procurement practices to prevent the purchase of goods and services at unrealistically low prices or produced using labour paid below national minimum wage standards.

• Assessing risks of slavery and human trafficking across all areas of the business and understanding available resources and support.

• Recognising indicators of slavery and human trafficking.

• Understanding reporting and escalation procedures within the organisation.

• Guidance on actions to be taken if suppliers or contractors fail to implement anti-slavery measures, including potential removal from the supply chain.

This statement has been approved by the organisation’s Director and will be reviewed and updated annually.
